Springtime Terrarium

Hello all. I hope you have had a great week, it has felt like it has wizzed by here and I can’t believe we are in March already, goodness how time flies! After last months Styling the Seasons post (here) where I filled glass jars with snowdrops and moss I really wanted to try and make a springtime terrarium in a larger glass jar which I thought might look nice a simple table centre piece, off cause I snapped some pictures so I could share it with you, Id love to know your thoughts.WeMadeThisHome_Spring Terrarium_1WeMadeThisHome_Spring Terrarium_8WeMadeThisHome_Spring Terrarium_4WeMadeThisHome_Spring Terrarium_5

I found some bendy twigs in the garden and wove several simple “wreaths” roughly the size of the base of a large jar. The woven twigs were used to create a nest effect which I added moss between the gaps before placing a hyacinth bulb in the centre.  its very simple but makes a great table centre piece.WeMadeThisHome_Spring Terrarium_6

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned.

Hi Lucy, Thank you for leaving a comment. Yes the bulb is loose, Iv seen a few images on Pinterest where the bulbs are cleaned and immersed in water in glass jars so I thought this would be ok tucked in with the moss which is damp. fingers crossed its happy 🙂
